Seven Sacred Pools is believed to be one of the most breath taking attractions in whole of Maui. It includes a magnificent series of waterfalls and tranquil pools that flow through the O’heo Gulch into the nearby ocean.
As the land, where the Seven Sacred Pools are situated was donated to the Haleakala National Park system, it is now the part of this nature’s paradise and so it always remains open for the visitors. These pools of the area are fed by the Pipiwai Streams.
This is indeed a natural playground for both locals and tourists alike, offering some of the most adventurous hiking and swimming experiences. Hence, this stunning spot is always crowded on weekends. People usually come here to relax and enjoy in the lap of nature.
The main attraction here is the Pipiwai Trail that is 4 miles roundtrip, gaining 650-feet in elevation above the Seven Sacred Pools. It takes around 2 1/2 - 5 hours to hike. This hiking rout offer spectacular views charming beauty of nature and several great waterfalls along. The final destination of the hiking is Waimoku Falls.

- No lifeguards
- Bring water
- Never dive into the pools
- Lava rock is VERY slippery when wet - wear beach shoes for protection and safety
- 1/2 mile loop trail leads to the pools
- Use extreme caution before jumping into the pools - check for hidden rocks and depth of pool first
